he's still in office for two reasons...

the most obvious is because his term is not up

the second and completely clear to people like you and me is the fact that most people are too stupid and concerned with own lives to care about how bush is affecting the country as long as it doesn't involve them. most americans are just want to fight and win and aren't really concerns with the whys and hows of war.

we live in a nation full of people who believe everything they hear. if the president said it... it must be true. I beg to differ.

keep hope alive.

Bush was in office becuase the corporations wanted him along with the government. They knew the working class would not vote Bush and many Democrats would parade to vote someone other than Bush, so they decided to rig the polls by putting them in Republican areas and chasing people out of the polls so that Bush would win. It isn't plausible that Bush won the 2004 election fair and square because his approval rating was very low during his first term. There is much chaos in this country, but people are being distracted by the media so they can do nothing about it. Some innocent liberals think they can save the country, but we are doomed.

For clarification, i believe what you are actually trying to ask is why has president bush not yet faced impeachment and possible removal from office. The answers for that are far from being black and white but i will do my best to explain.

First off your working under a number of misconceptions. The united states has had a growing number of immigrants (legal and illegal) pursuing employment in the U.S. for a very long time, the numbers have grown exponentially since the early 80s but this is not a new problem and certainly not one that can be blamed on Bush. Secondly Katrina victims do not suffer simply because of Bush, did you know that congress tacked over 650 billion dollars worth of pork belly spending onto Katrina aid bills. They did this because it's the easiest way to get personal agendas passed. It looks incredibly bad for a congressman's voting record if he votes against a bill named "Katrina Aid", and if he did so it would be a powerful weapon for an opponent to use during reelection. So that's 650 billion dollars tacked onto bills that passed so congressman can save face.

I'm not taking Bush's side by the way i strongly dislike the man. Furthermore i think he has done a terrible thing in taking our country to war in the way he did, and as an American Marine i know first hand what happens in Iraq.

But too the point impeachment is a long an arduous process, one in which over 2/3 of the whole of congress has to agree on charges and to proceed with prosecution. And as much as i hate to say it President Bush has not broken a law that wouldn't implicate the whole of congress as his accomplices. The patriot act, and all the other bills that Bush has chosen to selectively enforce, leave Congress as a viable accomplice because they did not choose to stop him from doing so.

So as you see it's not always as easy as we would like it too be, that is why we have to be more on alert when choosing leaders and we need to make sure we are informed on the issues. It's not a governments fault for being corrupt, it's the peoples fault for allowing the corruption. For all men when given power will be prown to abusing it.

With all that Bush has done wrong (Iraq, Patriot act that secures the northern border and ignores the southern, wire tapping, holding people without trial, massive government waste, cronyism etc etc etc) I find there is no reasonable way to blame him for Miss K. It was the state and local governments who where "afraid" to hand over control to him that caused the delay. It was the corruption of the local government of NO that used levee funds to pay for political favors. It was because of the attention in NO that the rest of the gulf coast was ignored.

The issue becomes that the corruption doesn't stop at the White House, we have corruption at every level of government.
