The first edition is the original edition of the game. It features hidden coding for a sex mini-game (known as "Hot Coffee"(1)). The coding could be unlocked with a mod (for the PC version) or cheating devices (like a codebreaker or action replay for the PS2 version) This version of the game was re-rated to AO (Adults Only) as it had this additional un-reviewed adult content in it.

The second edition does not the Hot Coffee coding in it, and there have been two distinct differences I have seen. The first is in the mission "Supply Lines...". This mission has been made considerably easier in the second edition. Also, I believe a parachute glitch was introduced in this version, as well (sometimes you'll open your parachute, but it won't appear... you'll lose freefall control of your character and he'll land, like a comet, and splatter like a pancake). This is the re-release of the game and is rated "M".

Otherwise I don't think there have been any major changes.

i didnt know there was a second one! unless they came out with an expansion pack. I would guess that they are pretty much the same.
