A bean bag would be nice if its level to your tv, I just like to be level with the screen and have back support, I myself use a desk chair that rotates and reclines and has arm supports with padding on my back and bottom so I suggest that as desk chairs can also move up and down to get where you need to be to see your tv

Black leather, high back, gas lift, swivel, well-padded arms and (large) seat and on wheels (so handy).
Very easy to turn and look out my window.
Very comfy; just as well, I spend a lot of time in it!
Your chair brings to mind Sherlock Holmes, that's what flashed into my mind when I read your description.
