Does appearance count if you are a reporter?

well, for me i guess yes because as a reporter you must have looks for you to attract your audience and so that they will always be eager to watch you in the television...but if you are very talnted and you have "appeal"to the media then looks is not important.....but if you have both then i think in a little time you'll be known..

As far as getting a job, absolutely. But you'd be amazed at what a little stage makeup and a personal stylist can do under bright lights.
