Before I went on birth control, I always had very irregular and heavy periods. While on bc, my period usually lasted 6-7 days with a moderate/heavy flow. I have now been off of birth control for about two months, and my first period period came right on time, but seemed a little bit lighter (but still pretty normal) and lasted about 5 days. My most recent period(?) started on Feb. 1st, but was unusual. I usually have cramping for a couple of days before I start bleeding, but didn't experience hardly anything until that morning. I BARELY bled, and it was a darkish brown color. I experienced that for maybe 3 days. So I'm just wondering, is this my body just adjusting to not being on birth control, or could I possibly be pregnant? I don't have any other symptoms that I know of. I was a little nauseous a couple of mornings last week, but I've also been sick. Any input???

Would a HPT pick up on the hormone at this stage?

If you just had a period on the 1st, then no it can't tell you if you're pregnant now. Pregnancy tests pick up the HCG hormone, which is secreted from the placenta so you wouldn't even have the hormone for about a week or so, and even then it'd be too little to tell with a home pregnancy test. I'd just wait until you're late, and if you are then take a test.

If your last period was on the first I think you should wait another week or so to take a test. Good luck!

Sounds like you may be pregnant. Take a test at the day of your missed period.

Brown and light blood is usually a sign of old blood...probably why you didn't experience the cramping...You should take a test to find out for sure....

Can't hurt to take a pregnancy test if you think its a possibility. Good luck!
