To many strong-minded republicans, the democrats seem like they work more in favor of their own personal agendas, even if those personal agendas could lead to mayhem on someone elses behalf.. as long as it isnt them thats paying for it, rather then doing whats really in the US's best interest...

Its often humurous to us Republicans that Democrats like Hillary Clinton actually believe that, by somehow removing US troops from Iraq, the Iraqi police will magically secure their country..

I mean, i was thinking about this at work..

Its like... some one goes through a line at a grocery store and buys a 1 dollar candy bar...

the total comes to 1 dollar.
the man is pretty sure, however he cannot honestly say without any doubt because there might miracly be a reason why he may not for w/e reason, he has 4 quarters in his pocket... to pay for the candy bar.

however, the man instead pulls out 50 cents and refuses to pay more... confusing the clerk considerably.

to me, this describes exactly the way i feel about the democrats in congresses strong opposition to helping fund the Iraq War with more money + troops.

Its like, if you just work a little bit harder.. a little bit of work you surely can do.. though it may come with harsh surprises (war is war...)... you can get the full Dollar and be 'victorious' in paying for the candy bar. Or in our case, the Middle East Crisis. However, the Democrats just dont want to do the things necessary to accomplish 'success'.. because of means that many Republicans feel are selfish and absolutely not in the best interest of the world.

And its like, the clerk (the President and the inspector/investigating agencies) is just confused.. I mean, they nicely ask the person for the remaining 50 cents to pay for the candy bar... but the man refuses because he doesnt want to reach into his pocket again. Even if it means it causes great mayhem in the store...

However, you cant pay 50 cents and expect to leave with a 1 dollar candy bar.. thats just not how it works. By trying to do this irrational move, eventually the person will sumhow recieve some sort of negative consequence.
It will surely cause the man to lose his candy bar (the war), but it may also..depending on the mayhem it may have started and the complaints some customers made about the inconsiderate wait they had to put up with... lead to serious troubles. Now the man may have not meant for these troubles to arouse by it, they may not have been caused on purpose.. however, because he just ignored all of the people around him telling him such simple (atleast to them) things.. these things did happen. He was beggingly warned these things may happen..

But still, he refused to give it one more shot to come up with 2 more quarters. Even though the chances werent "garunteed" that the 4 quarters were in his pocket.. he has more then good reason to believe he does, seeming as he has good memory of putting 7 quarters in his pocket just incase.

(characterizing the fact that the security of Iraq only costs "4 quarters" more in U.S. troops.. when the army is capable of even more troops then its asking for. Knowing that the U.S. Army is much, MUCH larger then 200,000 troops..)

We just want a dollar so we can pay for our candy bar, is that really so much to ask? or are you afraid of some scraps you may get on your hand from your new jeans... so rather you would just try pay for the 1 dollar candy bar with 50 cents.

We may not like paying a dollar for a candy bar.. and sure ina perfect world we'd rather pay 50 cents for a candy bar..

but we dont live in a perfect world. theres no such thing.. so we just have to suck it up and pay the dollar.
trying to get away with paying 50 cents for a 1 dollar candy bar will only end up in more trouble in the long run.. and the only thing gained by it will be less scratches on your 'fragil' hand from your new jean pockets... but theres a real good chance that you could end up cutting your hand severely later on if you get ina fight with someone waiting behind you.. (iran, palistine, n. korea, ...)

to use your analogy... the PROBLEM most have with this is...

Bush clearly said the war/candybar would only cost 25 cents... and he said he knew it... and he said it would be easy... (did you listen to cheney on Meet the press before the war? he said this war would only last like a year and everything would be perfect)

then we get over there... and all of a sudden it's a DOLLAR? (the war wasn't easy, it cost a ton of money, when he said it would pay for its self, and the insurgency is fighting and the country is trying to go to civil war)... so we pay our dollar (a little mad that we were CLEARLY lied too about the price, either out of ignorance of the true cost or malice) and stay there for 3 years... AND IT'S NOT WORKING...

SO NOW, Bush says, "oh, just 25 cents more and I'm sure that will work" ...

THE SIMPLE FACT IS... Bush has NO IDEA how much the candy bar will cost, and had no idea from the beginning and the price keeps going up!

when do you say... "screw it, I'm tired of you telling me one thing, finding out it's wrong, and then you asking me to trust you again"...

it's like some huge candy bar tease situation where it's always "just a little more will do it" but you never seem to quite have enough money...

businesses that change the price from the shelf to the counter don't stay in business very long...

What I find tragically amusing is how after four years of this fiasco of illegal war based on lies that has nothing to do with 9/11, the GOP prefers to allow our troops to continue getting slaughtered in Iraq rather than admit their policies have been an utter failure. Or else they think the Iraqis are going to wake up tomorrow and remember they were supposed to "greet us as liberators". Yeah, it would be funny if it were not so tragic. You Bush enablers have innocent blood on your hands. Where is Osama.Bin-Forgotten? No wonder America rejected the GOP in November and will continue to do so.

Aloha.

No you are wrong. At no point during your incoherent ramblings have you touch on any part of a rational thought process and we are all dumber for having been forced to read it.

I think Mr. Bush should send you to Iraq- so you can explain your theory there. I bet it'd reduce the fighting- 50%. :)

Politicians (and democrats are the best example) are often doing stuff, that is better for them, that increases their chances to get reelected, rather then what is good in a long (and short for that metter) run for the country. 2008 elections are looming, so, they need popular stuff, and screwing up troops and war can win them points.

Quit trying to blame the dems for your own failures. You started this BS, you screwed it up, and we have to clean your mess? Not gonna happen pal.
