So I just got a ticket for running a stop sign(it's my first ticket EVER), and my friends have told me I may be able to take online traffic school instead of having to be somewhere physically. So what determines if I am able to take the online course? I received the ticket in Northern California(Cupertino), and in the "Safe" box on the ticket, the officer marked a circle.

there should be a phone number on your citation. call
it and find out about traffics school.

In Florida, Blockbuster rents a traffic school DVD for $40 that you can take a test online or over the phone to get a certificate that keeps the points off your license. Check there.

if you are in the state of california you are allowed to go to traffic school on line just google traffic school california and you will get lots of results.
