Unlike some of the responses here, I won't claim that Biggie was "called home to God" or some other noble reason for his death. The plain, simple, ugly truth is that when you associate with felons, drug abusers, and known gang members, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a few bullet holes are not too far away. What's shocking isn't that he died but why anyone really cares.

Sadly, this talent was also interlaced with a society of violence. He rapped about violence and the streets that caused (in a round about way) the deaths of others. The whole rap community needs to wake up and realize that their words/deeds/actions have an effect on others. Glorifying drug dealing or violence to make money is a dead end, literally.
