I'm in my first year at uni but have always revised the same way. I look through my books and class notes, then i rewrite them in note form and use little signs to mean things. By the time i've been through them a few times I have almost memorised everything. Try it - but remember there is no one right or wrong way to study and you have to find what suits you best.
Also start revising early and not the week before. Don't cram revise the night before - if you don't know it by then, you are not going to. Make sure you get a good night sleep before your exam and have breakfast in the morning. This helped me. Good luck xxx

I found that the best way is to rewrite all lectures and then to reread though out the term. However stop about a week before the exam as I found that the only thing I could remember if I studied right up to the day was the last thing I read.

I found that falling asleep with the book over my face used to help a lot. Of course trying to decipher the imprinted writing in a mirror was tricky inside the exam hall. I now work in MacDonalds.

Hello :o) There is no one great recipe for revising, we all have different ways of remembering details. However, what worked for me, was to make notes of the salient issues of the subject onto a number of A4 sheets of paper. Write them in capital letters in highlighter pen and put them up on the wall. Go over them repeatedly at intervals during the day, and just before you go to bed. Get someone to test you on them. Once you are in the exam room, think of these sheets of paper on the wall. You will find that the details will come to you. It worked for me and alot of my friends. I now have a degree in social sciences.
I wish you all the best! :o)

re-write everything and memorize while you're writing things down.. that way, information will be remembered by the brain because there was active involvment by the body..
