The billionaire Richard Branson recently offered $25M to whoever can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1 billion tonnes per year and will choose a winner after 5 years. Also leading this fight on global warming is former vice president Al Gore. Apparently Branson is using profits from his airline to research alternative fuels.

But one has to think... Someone like Branson, who brings so much attention to himself through the media, could be using this for alternative motives. Also the fact that he owns an airline and contributes to global warming is a bit contradictory.

What are your thoughts on Branson's actions? Should more billionaires follow his suit? Will this help? Do you even think Global warming is an issue when comparing it to the seemingly everlasting war on terrorism? Let's hear your opinions.

Joseph, maybe you're being selfish and not thinking of the effect that global warming may have on future generations. Of course it probably won't affect us presently, but soon enough it might.

Aztec, Branson's british.

Joseph, I don't exactly understand what you mean; you're not explaining yourself too well. I guess you're not being selfish though, you just have extreme case of tunnel vision, like race horses :).

It's good there are some who take radical approach. We need something like that in addition to careful, rational planning.

I don't like the way the liberal media even gives credence to it, without presenting the viewpoint of sensible people who understand that global warming is a myth, and that the porker Al Gore is a first class nutcase.

Perhaps if the liberals institute the "Fairness Doctrine" in a attempt to silence talk radio though the hindrance of Freedom of Speech, it will backfire on them so that the people who are in tune with reality can force getting our views aired so that the public can be awakened.

Again, that lunatic Al Gore is sick in the head and he needs to undergo a mental evaluation to see if he can stand civil trial for the deception perpetrated upon the American public and the international community at large.

EDIT: There is no way I'm being "selfish," any more that one can be selfish for refuting the actual existence Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy or the Bogeyman.

Now, NATURAL "global warming" actually does exist, but Al Gore's version does NOT. Therefore, I can't be "selfish" in regard to this matter. I'm being unselfish by spending my Saturday here trying to wake up the Ameican people and people around the world.

I believe I'll conclude here by giving a little quiz, just to further enlighten and educate people (only consisting of one question):

Q: What was the phenomenon that melted all of the Ice Ages on Earth, before there was industrialization?

A: (Fill in the blanks): Natural______________ _____________.

Its shocking!

Liberals always try to make the American middle class pay for stuff. Nice to see one of the many many filthy rich liberals spending his own bleeping money.
