The billionaire Richard Branson recently offered $25M to whoever can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1 billion tonnes per year and will choose a winner after 5 years. Also leading this fight on global warming is former vice president Al Gore. Apparently Branson is using profits from his airline to research alternative fuels.
But one has to think... Someone like Branson, who brings so much attention to himself through the media, could be using this for alternative motives. Also the fact that he owns an airline and contributes to global warming is a bit contradictory.
What are your thoughts on Branson's actions? Should more billionaires follow his suit? Will this help? Do you even think Global warming is an issue when comparing it to the seemingly everlasting war on terrorism? Let's hear your opinions.

Joseph, maybe you're being selfish and not thinking of the effect that global warming may have on future generations. Of course it probably won't affect us presently, but soon enough it might.

Joseph, I don't exactly understand what you mean; you're not explaining yourself too well. I guess you're not being selfish though, you just have extreme case of tunnel vision, like race horses :).
