The KKK is on the rise. But the illegal immigrating of other people has been going on for awhile, not just this couple of years, so do you think they're just using the issue of illegal immigration to boost more membership and incite more hatred against others?

And IF the issue of illegal immigration is over, who would they target next?

I read your link. This is sad. There are dozens of valid, intellectually-defensible reasons for being against illegal immigration. Having the KKK throw their hat in the ring (or hood) tarnishes the moral legitimacy of those who are sincerely against it.

I'm going to give an unpopular response, but as someone who has (thanks to my psychology of prejudice course) done research on communities like Stormfront - I would say they don't necessarily use it to raise numbers.

They do use it to their advantage, but that isn't the only reason they're against it. It's sort of like how Republicans use abortion to their advantage and Democrats use Affirmative Action to their advantage. They use them to their advantage, but they also have strong feelings about the issue.

You could say that the Nazis used the idea of "Jewish domination" to increase their numbers - but Nazi leaders still fell for the idea just as much as the newcomers. Illegal immigration is a main issue of the KKK - as it has been for decades. The "leaders" of the KKK are extremely worried about illegal immigration. The reason is very simple - they're afraid of another culture doing two things 1) taking over control of the United States and 2) Having children with white people. The KKK will be in a bad place (even more than it is now) if these things happen.

It's important to make clear, however, that anti-illegal immigration activists don't go against illegal immigration for the same reasons as the KKK. Anti-illegal immigration activists are worried about 1) the economic problems and class displacement problems that illegal immigration causes, 2) the crime increase that illegal immigration is known to cause and 3) in the post-9/11 world it is only natural to also fear for national security, especially since the U.S. is so hated abroad.

"And IF the issue of illegal immigration is over, who would they target next?"

Their next target would probably be affirmative action or some other issue that is known to cause racial problems.

Who are they? Where are they located? Texas?
Or Alabama? Connetticutt? What boost in membership? No they happen to have hit on a good subject! There should not be any illegals in here at all! You know they should deport them immediately and how far is it to Mexico? Hello? It was one thing when Russia had the wall and we took in people that were truly tortured and suffering and gave them asylum? Or from Nicargua, or Cuba? Those were different times, we let our guard down and not for race, creed or color, but for the enemies within that have deals all over the place to over throw this government and our constitutional rights, and no matter if it is the KKK or the BO group, they are right on this issue. They just happen to be right about one thing? and for your info they don't matter it is our own politicians that are hurting us all right now! They sold us out!

I really don't believe the kkk is on the rise, to start with. Don't believe everything you read. The ones that do join are so kept up with by FBI and other law-enforcement, that's not even known of, their power is about zero. The "kkk" is so out-dated it's not much of a threat to anyone.

The KKK, like any other group, will seize an opportunity to boost their numbers. The whole thing is moot, because there will soon be no borders between our neighbors to the South and North. The North American Union is already underway.

Who the hell cares relating to the KKK. I by no potential observed considered one of them in genuine existence, purely interior the flicks. What are there, 20 of them left? I see your arguement, "The KKK is against it, for this reason that's solid!" it fairly is particularly like while George Bush mentioned "The terrorists do no longer choose me as President". nicely, neither did something of the worldwide Does that make him a solid President? you notice, clever human beings do no longer go with factors on a controversy just to piss somebody else off, or via fact somebody they do in contrast to is on the different area. that's what toddlers do. i'm against unlawful Immigration on theory, no longer on race.

illegal immigration, now, has become a good excuse for the racists because media has concentrated all attention on this issue. Devilish people now has chance to do whatever they want on those pitiful people, who need help the most. Cold-heart people won't criticize them much because they have racists do the job for them. How sinful we turn out to be! What is the next target, only Satan knows!

Well of course....with the help of the media attention. I have always wondered why the Black Panthers to the Raging Grannies have been kept an eye on by the US Govt. but you never hear about these white supremacist being targeted for scrutiny. The KKK hates everyone...I believe anyone who joins this organization should be prosecuted for a hate crime.

What I resent is that being against illegals is seen as racist. Are we supposed to champion lawbreakers? AP(or rather CS Monitor) of course is blowing this way out of proportion about the KKK.

Why do illegals get special treatment over people who come here legally and obey the laws? BTW,people from all parties are against illegals. So does that mean the KKK are also in the dem party?

Yea,go ahead and give me the thumbs down, lawbreaker lovers.

The KKK is a nonissue. No one belongs to it, no one supports it and both members would like some one else to join.
