just put the given values of x into the function and evaluate

I'll rewrite the function in a form that makes it easier to evaluate in your head, but I'll write out the tedium anyway
f(x)= (x-1)*x-2

a) f(0) = (0-1)*0-2 = -2
b) f(-2) = (-2-1)*(-2)-2 = (-3 * -2) -2 = 6-2 = 4
c) f(1) = (1-1)*1 -2 = -2

(a) f(0)=0^2 -0-2 =-2
(b) f(-2)=(-2)^2 -(-2)-2
f(-2)=(4)+2-2 ==>f(-2)=4
(c) f(1)=(1)^2-1-2
f(1)=1-1-2 ===> f(1)=-2

f(0) = (0)2 - 0 - 2
= - 2

f(-2) = (-2)2 - (-2) -2
= 4 +2 - 2
= 4

f(1) = (1)2 - 1 - 2
= -2

f(x)=x^2-x-2 just substitute the numbers for x
a
f(0)=0^2-0-2
f(0)=-2

b
f(-2)=(-2)^2-(-2)-2
f(-2)=4+2-2
f(-2)=4

c
f(1)=1^2-1-2
f(1)=1-1-2
f(1)=-2
