The Wizard of Oz
It is the ultimate movie of hope and friendship. It has so many valuable lessons. "Hearts will never be practical until they can be made unbreakable", "If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own backyard. If it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with." Everyone gets what they want in the end. Greats costuming, casting, and music. Would have been best picture for 1939, if Gone With the Wind wouldn't have been made the same year.

My favorite movies are movies I like so much I view them at least three times. Of such, My Fair Lady, Star Wars, Enter the Dragon, the Matrix, V for Vendetta. Movies I have come to love because my son watches them often enough and I got hooked, Monster's Ink, Parent Trap, Hood Winked, The Incredibles, Shrek, Finding Nemo, and Cars - a real favorite.

"The In-Laws," with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin, has nonstop laughs and a real twist happy ending;

"Matango: Attack of the Mushroom People" is by far the CREEPIEST movie ever! Brrrrrrrr!;

"In the Heat of the Night," with Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger, has crackling tension, a meaty mystery, and GREAT acting;

"Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," with Howard Keel and Jane Powell, is a WAY-too-much-fun musical;

All the "Road to. . ." movies, with Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour, showcase the unique chemistry between those three top talents;

"Fancy Pants," with Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, has great comedy writing, witty, original sight gags, and a SUPERB deadpan performance by Bruce Cabot (who knew he was funny?);

"Raising Arizona," with Nicolas Cage and superbabe Holly Hunter, has the Queen of Hotties (Holly), and the Coen Bros.' delicious humor;

All the old "Sherlock Holmes" movies, with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, are real, classic gut-thrillers.

Fun question, but it's SO hard to choose! ; ^ P

Wizard of Oz - It came on once a year when I was growing up. My brothers wanted to watch something else but I got to watch it. I loved the colors, the flying monkeys, the lion. And it seemed to mean that no matter how amazing things are, how different or all the interesting characters there were, there is truly no plce like home.

Taxi Driver with robert de niro....it's a twisted movie showing the dark side of NYC in the 70's, the part when he shaves his head and goes nuts is the best

Most favorite? Kind of redundant. Anywho, how about "A Lion in Winter" due to acting and story.

The Godfather...I'll combine 1 and 2...great movies, great acting! Violent, but that's real life. By the way, Al Gore is so boring his birth sign is "lint".

I personally think Fight club is one of the most over-rated films ever. Everyone you talk to heralds it as one of the most brilliant movies ever, and it really bored me to tears
