maybe voldemort or sirius sacrificed himself to keep harry from permanently "dying"

All of the Horcruxes would have to be destroyed before Voldemort would be vunerable and could be killed. If Harry is a Horcrux (and I don't believe that he is) Voldemort could still kill him without killing himself. Even if Harry was his last remaining Horcrux, Voldemort would still have the piece of his soul that is in his own body. No one else would be able to kill him if Harry was dead - according to the prophesy, Harry is the only one with the power to do so. Also, Voldemort doesn't know when his Horcruxes are destroyed unless someone tells him. Remember, he was furious when he found out the Diary was destroyed. So, if Harry was a Horcrux, why would he hesitate to kill him? He would think that he still has _several_ other well hidden Horcruxes, that are probably protected by powerful curses, and all he really needs is one to avoid death.

We don't know exactly how Horcruxes are destroyed. We've seen the Ring cracked and the Diary punctured, they were nutralized but not utterly destroyed. So, if Harry were a Horcrux, how would he destroy the Horcrux and still kill Voldemort? Could it be destroyed without killing Harry? I think so. I'd guess that he'd have to destroy the other Horcruxes, then have his final battle with Voldemort at the Ministry of Magic, in the Department of Mysteries, where he'd unlock the door to the room Dumbledore told him about in Book 5, unleashing the power of love within it. Harry, who loves and is loved by others wouldn't be adversely affected, but it could destroy the Horcrux, which is created with the utimate act of evil, and it would kill Voldemort, who loves no one and is unloved. We know that his mother's love is what protected Harry from Voldemort until Book 4, and that Harry's love for Sirius is what drove Voldemort out of his body when he possessed him in Book 5. It is also the power that Dumbledore said that he possesses, but Voldemort does not.

I don't think harry's a horcrux. Because the prophecy is that neither can live while the other survives. So Voldemort would need Harry as a horcrux to stay alive, and it seems so dumb to have a human as a horcrux, like Dumbledore mentioned before and the fact that eventually Harry is going to die because he's human, and therefore Voldemort would be losing a part of his soul.

first of all, harry being a horcrux is just a rumour. it might or it might not be true. but if harry dies, somebody will still have to kill Voldemort, cause destroying all the horcruxes will only make him mortal. and somebody will have to face him. i think, and it's only my opinion that harry is not a horcrux. because if you read some rumours on the net you must have seen that there is an important part in book 4, when harry is telling dumbledore about how voldemort came back to life it is said that "there was a look of triumph on dumbledore's face" but than it says that harry must have been imagining. but i guess that up till that moment dumbledore too believed that harry is a horcrux. and somehow he got his proof that he isn't...

There's just one O: horcrux.

And I don't ascribe to that theory that Harry is a horcrux.

In order to kill Voldemort, all of the 4 remaining horcruxes have to be destroyed in order to make him mortal again. THEN ya have to deal with actually killing Voldemort. But is Harry a killer?

Harry's NOT a horcrux! Dumbledore even says in the end of OOTP that the reason Voldie couldn't stand to possess Harry for longer than 30 seconds, is because he is so full of the force that Voldie hates so much... LOVE. Harry can't possibly be a horcrux!

I don't think Harry is a Horcrux.Dumbledore and Sirius died to save Harry as Harry's life most valuable to them because Lily and James died to save him from voldemort.Jame's and Lily's friends certainly don't want their efforts go useless. Also, Voldemort has made those things horcrux which related to the four establishers of Hogwarts.

its only IFFY that hes the last horcrux, we will have to wait and see,

but what you are saying makes good sense, but if he was the last horcrux it would against the prophecy, its either harry or voldemort who dies, they have to kill eachother, it cant be both, the last horcrux will possibly be a person but someone besides harry. because it IS hinted 2 other people are gonna be killed in the new book that rowlings hadnt really planned on dying.

we will have to wait until 07/23 lol

edit

sirius didnt sacrifice himself, he was killed.

dumbledore on the other hand is what the real mystrey is, he knew harry could take malfoy if he wanted to, but still he froze harry under his cloak that night at the tower, i think it was all part of a secret scheme with snape that dumbledore didnt want harry to interfere in.

I do think of Harry will return to college and valuable discover between the Horcruxes there. sure the final consensus looks that Regulus is R.A.B. As for who dies i think of Snape will die and Pettigrew. Sirius would return and the two Neville or Luna and in all risk Ginny. Harry is desperate no person else will stand between himself and Voldemort yet i do no longer think of he would be waiting to stay away from it. As for the death Eaters. Voldemort, Lestrange, Lucius no longer less than.

harry's NOT a horcrux!!! he's not on the list of horcruxes that dumbledore gave him but then if, and im saying IF here, he is a horcrux, that would be kinda cool cuz then it's like, he kills voldemort and then kills himself? so he sacrifices himself 4 the other ppl. a lot like something he would do.

Voldemort will not destory himself. As I understand it, Harry's magic will become powerful enough so that both will not be able to co-exist. If one dies, the other lives. If one lives, the other dies. In a sense the opposite of ying and yang.
