although another answer here is almost correct in that for decades we have been told that all these would be here before now..... the future was told, worte about and almost promised (in form of flying/hover cars) space station cities was my favorite that is still not finished... hit snags, delays in one form or another and so is not... but not due to being "wrong" predictions or anything of the sort.... just delayed...
this is a good question..... thought provoking but fun....
is the future going to be crazy? (yes, look around.. the future is here and it is CRAZY) with flying cars? (they have made them, not ready for production... not cost effective) and robots (have those too) who take over the human race? (well the human race is lazy enough to allow it.... so they might... wait.. slave to computer? hmmmm how long you been sitting in front of this screen? catering to this machine? hhmmmm )
you guys/ladies/people... you got the future, it is here..... it is just needs a little tweaking, some adjustments... in people and the items.... but it is here.... lol... in all it's scary sci-fi, fantasy comic book glory!

Well, there are ancient scriptures and inscriptions that potrayed flying cars and robots, so either the ancients already envisioned these things or they know these things existed.
Now on whether we will see them fully used in our lifetime, that's another matter. But these things will definetly be there in the future.
However, things might not be as dark as potrayed in "I, Robot", "The Fifth Element", "Artificial Inteligence", "Blade Runner", and so on.
"The Jetsons" have a relatively accurate potraying of flying cars and robots.

It is possible...but only in some 1000 years maybe or 500 years. There able to make cars using energy to reduce pollution...so I guess that maybe the technollogy would develope even better. Back in time, people in medieval times would think that cars are crazy..but it hapenned. So why not flying cars? But i am sure that they will make it safe and using a different system. As for robots, I doubt that robots would be made...and doubt even more they will overtake human race. Whatever happens, humans are responsible to it. they have to make sure to not over abuse it.

If you look at the covers of old Popular Science magazines, they have been predicting flying cars and household robots for decades, but it still hasn’t happened. In what other field, aside from weather forecasting, can you be wrong that often and still get paid?

I surely hope so! Well I know a man named Woody Norris created the air scooter II. Also, there is the Moller skycar. I like fast cars but know I would really like flying around to get to where I have to go!

Then it would not be nascar. Shall we have robotic fans for the robot drivers? Heck, they already have an advertisement out with a one robot pit crew.
