Do you remember las season when the pistons were 41-9 and all of their starting players went to the allstar game? How come the 41-9 mavericks only had one player going-Dirk(well now 2 since the comish picked J. Ho as a reserve this morning) Do you think that was wrong or what? Give me your opinion

well the whole allstar balloting is a load of bull the mavericks are a great team but you dont always need alot of superstars to win dirk is enough with a strong supporting cast . however just look for example to steve nash who didnt even make the starting roster (back to back mvp soon to be 3 peat and shaq who didnt even play in 5% of his teams games is named a starter also yao named in cause voting in china and he is out for year. the whole system needs revamping the mavs dont really have huge number guys and for the all star game unfortunatley most people dont follow basketball probably as closley as you and i and they just want to see dunks and flash so they vote solely on those factors i think it is wrong and the chosen coaches for the respective teams should get to bring a few picks of his own.

oh yeah and who gets to pick the thumbs up thumb down thing on answers anyways ???

No. The reason is, Dallas has a much deeper rotation then Detroit had. Detroit, last year, dominantly required their starting five to remain in at all times, while Dallas, this year, subs Terry out with Harris, puts in Stackhouse for George or Buckner, Dampier is subbed out by Diop, etc etc. Phoenix gets three players because D'Antoni only goes 6 or 7 deep as well, going as far as Barbosa and sometimes Jones.

More burn = better chance to be an All-star.

Its because the Pistons play as a team. they are unselfish, any one player can have 34 8 6 for them. The Mavs rely more on two or three players.

phoenix had 3 all stars since they dont have a deep rotation. dallas has 2 all stars since their rotation goes 10-11 deep,so the stats are divided.

well prince didnt get to go to the allstar game. and besides, it is the EAST. everything is weaker in the east and its easier to make the allstar team in the east than in the west.
