The chances of your getting pregnant are very slim.
The point of taking the 7 inactive pills is so you will have a period.
If you don't release the flow during the time of your period will lead to getting very clogged in your uterus and your periods will be no longer predictable.
It's just a nice thing to know, when your period will start.
Leaving the menstral flow in your uterus like that could lead to endometriosis. That could leave you infertile and you would then have to have a D&C. It's minor surgery but still, it leaves you in pain and who wants the hassle?
I would take them.

The last 7 pills are considered "sugar pills" and it's suggested you take them, not because it will keep you from being pregnant, but to keep you on track with your pills so you don't forget to take them. You can take them or throw them away. If you're a forgetful person, take the last 7. Otherwise chuck 'em and move on to the next set of pills.
A little secret I learned, if you end your 21 pills and start taking your new pack right away instead of skipping the 7 days inbetween, you will avoid having a period but it's not suggested you do this more than 3 mon. in a row. Give your body a break.

The inactive pills are just sugar pills to help woman keep track of when to start again. I had to do this same thing, I did it for three cycles of the pills then had my period. You probably won't get pregnant if you take them everyday around the same time.

This is okay to do every once in a while, but not all the time. I used to do it in high school when i knew i would get my period during a school dance or something so i didnt have to put up with it. It's not safe to do it all the time though. But every couple of months is fine to do. You wont get pregnant because you will have a constant flow of hormones going into your body. You won't even ovulate or get your period.

You don't risk becoming pregnant until you miss one of the real birth control pills. Inactives don't matter.
