There is an uncomfortable feeling in the initial years. As time passes it is not so uncomfortable. We just try to be polite and nice with the family of spouse. It never feels like our own family. It is natural and every body feels that way.

I love my spouse's family! I have known them since I was 16 (I'm 26 now). They have always been there for me. My mother in law is really a cool person - she's obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer LOL! We just had our first child in November (the first grandchild) and they have been so helpful and caring! I feel really lucky to have such great inlaws!
