it was top of the line when i bought it 5 years ago.now i find out that all the water does not drain out because the drain holes are up too high. this water has ruined so many of our clothes, because it just stagnates, and it leaves a terrible smell in your clothes that you can't get rid of! of course the 5 year warranty ended, and this started!!!

i have tried vinegar, salt , bleach, hot water, and the only solution that works is throwing things away.i never let my clothes sit in the washer. they get dried right away.

seriuosly, you need to call Maytag.

they recalled loads of these washers.

they have a terrible reputation. anything that can go wrong will and does!

they should be willing to fix it for free.

i have had customers that have the original Neptune also. so far they have all been able to get them repaired for no cost. the warranty had expired on many of them.

next time buy Whirlpool.

BTW, Whirpool now owns Maytag. maybe the quality will improve.

Your drain holes must migrate, LOL. just kidding. If it just started after 5 years then your pump or drain hose is stopping up. That,s a nice machine, it,s worth getting fixed.

check and see if that is the one that they recalled a little while back. there was one for the neptunes for 2001 era machines. good luck, hope this helps. get a whirlpool next time!
