Mine just became a bit tougher to endure the babies sucking. It is ok as this helps you from becoming sore. When you no longer breast feed your nipples should become soft again.

I really dont know. Personally, I nursed for a year, and the only things i experienced was that my nippes are a bit bigger, and they got a lil bit tougher. If I were you, I would just make a quick call to the hospital and ask to talk to the lactation nurse. She could answer your question in 30 seconds.

I don't believe it's a bad thing. Mine definately toughened up a little. I actually think it's a good thing b/c it's what finally ends up causing breastfeeding to stop hurting.
