No, we will not for the history books tell a all familar story after ever 30 something years a new power rises. We had 1900 to 1950 Germany, Russia and late 1940's US. Russia 1950 to 1980. America 1980-2030 yes I believe in twenty years American will be decending. I will take a wild guess and say Japan, Britain, or Russia will be the most famous and powerful country in the world. I will predict it will be Britain for it has been far too long being second in the world. Hopefully it is Russia, but don't think it is going to happen.

Power, maybe. Fame? Are we not known to be a bully in many parts of the world? Many in the world do not understand why America is so successful, they would rather blame the U.S., than open their doors to free enterprise. Until they do, America will be infamous in their eyes.

I think America has some serious work to do on both of your questions. We may be one of the most powerful in the world, but without the respect, it does not count for much.

It's the best piece of real estate in the world. In twenty years it will still be the best piece of real estate in the world. Government policies and news stories aren't going to change that.
