SIN.is simply ANYTHING that comes between you and the holy spirit of Gods guidance,The only unpardonable sin is blasphemy of the holy ghost,that doesn't mean you cussed it out, of course ha ha, that means you stop yourself from being a vehicle for the spirit of God when you denie it you refuse to allow it into you, you refuse to ask of it, you refuse to listen for the answers , that will come if you will just stop, get quiet and listen,No. its not a large booming voice, but it is a voice, that will lead you to righteousness, and wisdom and true spiritual knowledge, as when you die you will be lead to heaven by that spirit.I learned how to pray from my wonderful Christian parents and grand parents.who would pray about something,look at each other and say yes,its time to do this, or time to do that, or time to wait,they knew from listening to the spirit of God. people pray but wont listen for the answers within them that will come , you have but to listen.so no theirs no true sin.though it take asking ,so children have to ask,so yes and no about orginanal sin,its notsomething inherited, or anything like that, wemust ask of the spirit or were notgoing to make it because if we dont ask we want know gods will for us in this life, simple. I really dont know how to answer that question,the way most people think of sin, its so simple, ask Gods spirit into you,ask of it, listen for the answers and then try your best to do Gods will, as Jesus said, all those who call on my name will NOT be saved only those that do my fathers will , will make it to heaven, how do you know Gods will? you have to ask.It takes practice .and you have to have faith, as faith opens one to the spirit with out faith you cant truly hear the voice of the spirit of god,and love .you must have love.also.we must live for right now, not some karma,to worry about.

'Born sin' is a concept to explain why life is full of struggles, disappointments and pain even for people who apparently lead a clean life. When we are unable to explain something properly through a well defined cause and effect syndrome, concepts like born sin, miracles, mercy etc. etc. gain currency.

However, we are not born all that clean slate... our genes do carry and bring in a lot right at the time of birth and this 'carry' is never the same for any two.

Small is right, it's a concept to explain why innocents suffer.
And Dawg is right, that sin is separation from god (or, separation from the self here and now).

We have a clean slate in the sense that we are born blameless and accepting and forgiving of our own so-called sin (which is simply our nature as beings of flesh); it's only as we develop ego and desire, that we become aware of our separation and embody it more and more and start to feel the need to be close to god again. But it isn't cleansing that we need; it's love, acceptance, and forgiveness of being what we are.

To believe that you have to believe in a God.
Man made God in his own image and Christianity is a total myth and con trick to give power to groups of people who call themselves Princes of the Church ( self imposed royalty status) and spout mythical rhetoric that they fail to check out the real facts on.
Christianity was formed on a previous religion called Mythraism, Mitra was the Sun God allegedly from Iran. The Romans adopted this God as their own and built temples to him and slaughtered bulls in his honor to give them luck in battle. St Peters Basilica, ( upon this rock you shalt build my Church) is built on a Mythriam and in the sub basement the original altar and all its refineries are still intact. Mitra was also allegedly born on Dec 25th the day we call Xmas and celebrate as the Birth day of Jesus. It's all crap, smoke and mirrors and distorted tales using another religions stories of a Savior a bright star and the Magi ( 3 wise men) that happened long before Jesus Christ walked on earth. Mythraism is not a fantasy it was a belief system that was founded some 800 years before Christ. So don't get all fired up and worried about any original sin it's all scare tactics for control of the masses.

Nonsense.

What did you do before you were born to be a sinner.

Karma makes more sense to me. You are not a 'sinner' at birth. nonsense again. God doesn't hate you, He is a big part of you!

Yours truly;
Jonnie

It would seem kind of childish to me, especially coming from a "supreme being", to hold all of the future generations of that species responsible for one man's "sin".
