You deserved that best answer 2 months ago, LARRY J7, and you're right: FEMA hasn't gotten us yet. I hope they never do. It was nice running into you again. Until the next time, I am, as always............

Hey, buzzlight--long time no see
dang straight, I remember--hell, I was in LOVE with the woman
Her name was Ms Sprinkle (I kid you not) and she was gorgeous
she was the source of my first playground fight-- this other dude name Eddy Marks was sure that he was her favorite-- so I decided to "take out the competition" !! Had thoughts of failing intentionally so that I could remain in her presents -- probably would have if I had not known that my folks would have ended my education permanantly for that by shipping me off to a student exchange program in Uganda !!
Hey, dude---FEMA hasn't got us yet---huh ??
Good luck to you in all you do !!!

Sure. I even remember kindergarten. I thought that the play house was neat and was very disappointed when I was told that only girls could use it.
First grade was a lot of watercolors, walk home for lunch: vegetable soup with animal crackers and milk. And some embarassing moments I won't go into.

I like this question. It is fun to reminisce and I recall a good portion of my time in first grade.
I attended Christ the King School. My teacher's name was Mrs. Sorenson. She was a bit older, maybe 40's or 50's. She had blonde/silver short curly hair. She wore big frame glasses. She was nice most of the times but I remember being made more shy by her because she used to have this time after lunch that we called, "Tattle Tale Time". We shared the problems we had during lunch and recess with her in circle time on the carpet. I remember playing Tiddly Winks during free choice time. I liked the library in the classroom a lot. One of my classmates had Tourette's syndrome and he would shake his hands, he fell out of his chair once. My great-grandma died that year. We made Dinosaur Bone soup after some book that had that in it. We also at Grape Leaves during some sort of event. One of the mom's cooked it for us and I did not like it. I went to a Children's Writing Workshop on a Saturday with my teacher and classmates. It was a lot of fun. We did different writing exercises. My best friend was Shiloh. We played with our Cabbage Patch dolls.
My, I could keep going but that's it for the big memories. I remember liking our SRA Reading Books because I always wanted to get to the next color level.

Yes, I remember quite well. Her name was Mrs. Clover. I threw up on her desk on valentines day while everybody was standing in class exchanging cards and candy. She was very sweet. I know a lot of people that can't remember anything about it. A lot of people can't remember anything form before third grade. I remember stuff all the way back to diapers. seriously.

I remember a lot of things in first grade! My teacher was Miss Harrison, my best friend was Shaquita and I had a crush on the baddest boy in class. I also remember painting my entire hands right after art class and my teacher sent me home without letting me wash them. I thought I was gonna get in trouble with my parents but they let it slide!

Yup I remember! Her name was Mrs. Mui. She was best. We had to sit on the colorful rug in the middle of the classroom and play games. I remember coloring and all that good stuff. I guess I remember because of my teacher. She was the coolest.

So do I! Her name was Miss Lewis and the classroom smelled like glue all the time. She wore her hair in a bun and looked like she constantly needed to sit down but she was very sweet and patient with me. Ahhh, those were the days.
