It need not be offensive. It would depend on the contest, and how it is said, and the expression of the face of the person who said it, etc. Literally, it can be offensive, with the meaning of, "You really hurt me. What are you going to hit me with next?", but in a more friendly banter, it could mean "Great argument. You thought you had me there, but I have an answer. What's your next try? (all in sport!)".

Remember, it is a metaphor for punching. We spar both in fun and in anger. It can mean either thing.

Probably means to say "So how are you going to insult me next?"
