I have had plenty of nose bleeds in my life but this one was way diff.
first of all I ddin't do anyhting to cause it and it was so bad I was gagging up blood. I had like 5-6 major clots before I got it to stop.
what I was wanting to know was could this be something related to high blood pressure or exercise after not getting to much exercise and just all of a sudden over exserting the body. I'm just confused. I don't want to think there is something wrong with me. could it be from being on the comp. too much?
plz if any one knows what this could be from plz let me know.
thanx !

I say...go to the doctor. It might be something major that you need immediate care for. I've never heard of such nose bleeding so that is why you should visit your doctor or if you don't have a doctor, go to the ER. You never know what could have caused it. Better safe then sorry.

I think you should go to your family doctor and ask him. Your last nose bleed sounded really serious. If you can't get it to stop sometime, then the blood could go into your lungs. Do Not tilt your head back when you have a nose bleed, that causes the gagging and makes the blood go into your lungs. Just pinch the nostrils shut and try putting some ice on your lower forehead and your sinus cavity area on both sides of your face next to your nose.
I think you could be right, and this could be related to high blood pressure. I'm not a doctor though, so you should definetely go and get checked out. Don't take any chances.

No point in thinking whether something is wrong with you or not! Go to a doctor and get some tests done. Your blood pressure may be high, your capillary vessels may be in bad condition, your blood may be lacking in clotting factors or may be too thin and so on. I am presuming that you are not taking any medication like Aspirin, Coumadin etc.

Any condition which keeps repeating off and on needs investigation.

You might have a nasal infection. I get nosebleeds every other year that can last 1-2 hours before they stop.

Also, make sure your house isn't too dry. The dry air may irritate you cavities.

If it doesn't stop after 15 minutes or comes from both nostrils, then you have a problem. Use a tampon like in Beavis and Butthead.
