How does this "primal urge" excuse men to be whores? Urges only excuse feelings/thoughts, not actions. I get aroused too that doesn't mean I'm actually going to sleep with someone. Hormones also make me angry- that doesn't mean I'm going to beat someone up just because I feel like it. Oh, and even birds are monogamous.

I agree. Aggression is definitely a double-edge sword. But people should draw the line between good aggression and bad aggression.

Irresponsible actions are never justified. However I believe that when a man gives of himself (sexually) and then begins to act out in a destructive manner then he is exposing his inadequacies as a sex partner. He lashes out to cover what he believes are his inadequacies.

Wow, what a question. It is very difficult to answer such an observation as this. I would have to say that URGES, do not justify anything. Personality would be a better description of male behavior. I am a man, and I have been in many fights, in my younger years. I never could understand why those guys lashed out, but I do understand why the picked me. I was a very small guy and looked like a pushover. Most males do draw on the primal urges just to defend territory, or to proclaim dominance over something. I call it a PRIMAL urge because civilization frowns on the fact that we are here because MEN fought. If we were made passive by nature, we would not have survived the first year of our existence. So we do owe our existence to the survival tactics of early man. The want to exist, goes hand in hand with the want to conquer primal urges. Unfortunately we have not evolved past the need to use muscle, and might to prove right. We will evolve to the point one day when the mind will make it unnecessary to use muscle, but then sex, love, and families will become a thing of the past. I do not look forward to that day, and it will not be for quite a long time, I am glad it will be after I am long forgotten. I am not trying to justify how men act, but I am sure if they did not act this way, we would not be here today.

Men prove themselves to others and to themselves by fighting and having sex. They can get their *** kicked every time they fight and it won't affect them near as bad as being told by one woman that they suck in bed. Men are dominated by feelings of inadequacy. Today's society emasculates men to the point that their urges determine their personality.

All people (not just men) fall weak and do things they regret. It's just part of life, and it's one of the parts where many people are hurt by such indescretions.

Good Luck

its been this way since the caveman came along, and it will never change. irresponsible actions are not justified, but society will always turn a blind eye towards it.

They are not justified at all. Sometimes my brain just tells me I must screw regardless. It's not a good thing but hey? Women do the same thing though they just act differently about it.
