try www.craigslist.org Depending where you are, there is most likely a city near you on the site. Once you click the closest city there is a job listing site. If you don't find anything there, post your own "work wanted" ad.....best part is it is all free!! (what kind of work did you do before?? that would help with answering....)

You might want to get some help from the career planning and placement office at the college you attend.

It may just be called the placement office, but I'm sure that your college has such an office that could give you help with resume writing, job search strategies, interviewing techniques, etc.

Good luck.

I understand what you mean. I know I've applied to many jobs, but I never hear back from any of them. I have gotten most of the jobs I have had by knowing someone who can help get you in the door. -Bob

well what can u do, what do like, when you put in apps. do u call them for a follow up and ask them if they have seen you app? probally not, be down right pushy, if you want the job, better let them know, call everyday, go down ther after you put in ur app. and talk to the human resources, or a manager, u don't just get a job, these days you have to take it!

This was easy for me.. best buy, circuit city, the mall, officemax, office depot, staples, eb games, gas stations, hell anything they are always hiring. In retail people leave so suddenly, which is why positions are always opening up.

It would probably help to know WHERE you are located. Have you tried your college placement office? ads on Craigslist? Local mall? Local newspaper listings? Have you posted on craigslist?
