I call my mom every night to see how she's doing, make sure she took her medicine, etc. and to see if she needs anything. The water pipes at her house have been frozen since Monday, and I wanted to let her know that I finally found someone who would try to get them thawed out for her.
But the last one I spoke to tonight wasn't a person. It was my dog. This was his 8th birthday and we've been reminiscing.
