T-square Definition

It means a person who is boring, unadventurous, close-minded, selfish and reserved.
In Pulp fiction, Mia takes John Travolta to a restaurant with a childish name.
John Travolta isn't amused, and doesn't want to go in.
Mia accuses John Travolta of being a square.
By choosing not to go in, he is being boring, unadventurous, close-minded, selfish and reserved.
A person who is not a square therefore a person who is unreserved, adventurous, fun, funny, open-minded and thoughtful; all universal characteristics women look for in a man.

i don't know if this is right, but a box is square - we need to think and act outside the box. don't put limits on our selves or others. don't be close minded. don't be boring. those are just a few things that come to mind. these are just my own thoughts and ideas.

Have you heard of a square peg in a round hole? Same meaning.... It means that you should fit in with your friends or company you keep.

Don't be a geek, nerd e.g., don't be old fashioned get with it...another old expression I have heard.

Disclaimer: I don't see any thing wrong being a geek or a nerd, they end up earning lot of money.

Lol. Its very simple. "Be there or be square". Why square? Because you are not "a-round".
