The government has been tapping certain conversations far longer than just the Bush administration. Is it still going on? Most likely. Do you talk about things that will get you in trouble? I don't know. If you do you shouldn't do it over a phone, as anyone with a scanner can pick up cell conversations and wireless phone conversations. This happened to Newt Gingrich back in the ninety's when Clinton was president. Speaking of which, Clinton was big time into tapping phones without permission. This kind of stuff has been going on since the advent of electronic communications, and will never stop.

Not unless there is a good reason. Phones have always been able to be tapped into. Wire tapping isn't a new concept. It's just that no one talked about it before and the idea wasn't used by the left to try to scare people into thinking this is some big new thing that was taking away their freedom. If your next door neighbor was involved in a plot to put cyanide into your towns drinking water and the plan was foiled because the Feds were able to connect the dots through wire tapping, would that bother you or would you be glad that someone was on the ball. Don't worry. They aren't interested in what the baby did today or what's for dinner.

Yes, but probably not the way your thinking. No one cares if Uncle Bob is doing Aunt Sally's sister, and junior may be the product of Uncle Bob, or Daddy, but they do care if certain key words, are repeated a key number of times in association with other key words. When that happens, yes, its all recorded, and if thought necessary, investigated. We live in a very technological world, with terrorism. Personally if they do listen to Bobby's stories about my kid, I don't give a damm. Just hope their listening to other things too.:)

The president would not randomly demonstrate screen each person. in case you obtain e-mail or telephone calls from terrorists or terrorist operatives, assume to be monitored. Freedom has a cost, inspite of the actual shown actuality that that's inconvenient.

Do you often call the Middle East or frequently speak to suspected terrorists? If not, I am sure they are not listening to your calls.
With over 300,000,000 Americans, how many people would it take to tap all of our calls? Sure the government is big but not that big! The way the press talks about it, you would think we were all tapped.
Think about it -- figure it out.

They can hack into your computer......they can read your mail .....and they can arrest you and hold you indefinitely with out bringing charges or giving you legal representation. It's called the Patriot Act.
The more terrifying thing to me is the 2007 Defense Authorization Act. This enables the President the legal right to call in Martial Law. The government gave KB&R which is Halliburton $385million to build and enhance existing camps last number I heard was 600 in our country to imprison anyone!
check it out for yourself.

You really need to stop making those 900 calls. The CIA listeners told me that all the moaning makes it very hard for them to transcribe. They also want to know, would you spell is "Ooooohhhaaaaa" or "Uuuuuuhhhhhaaaaa"?
