There are 2 kinds that I can think of. The first is someone who has been hurt and treated with hate and anger. The other is a psychopath who has no conscience. Hmmm. Some of those guys run around here so look out for them. It's not that often, but they do love to ask a fake question and then rain on you for answering and try to chase you off. I file them under psychos, what do you think? Anywho........some call them Haters so they mess things up for others everywhere they go if nice, helpful or happy people are around. It's a sport and they love to play that game!! When you get caught or bummed out, find a good person as fast as possible. Works for Me!! And Those People are All Over Here!! Good Luck!! See ya around!! @8-)

I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this. I assume that you are writing of the people here, on Yahoo! Answers?

Some of the nasty people on here probably have no lives. Some might be mad at someone in their lives, and take it out in writing on strangers. I know that I get very nervous when I get one of those emails that says, "You have a message from another user," as usually they are very hurtful (not always--but I'm always afraid that it might be one of them). I have thought about not allowing emails because of this.

Some of them might actually get a thrill out of hurting others, and that is truly a shame. You need to remember that there are also some nice, polite, informative, caring people on this site--though sometimes when I get on, I don't see any.

Don't let these nasty ones get to you. You don't know them in real life, and I'm sure that you do know some good people in the real world.

Friendly or nasty is all the same when it comes to attention and the hunger for it. Somewhere those people have an investment that pays off by being nasty.

People just don't care who they hurt anymore. Its not that they get a thrill out of it, they just do it because that is the way they learned to act.

yes for some it seems to be thrilling to hurt others, maybe they don't feel good about themselves,so putting others down it lifts them up,or so they think.

its called one up one down. they feel better (or up) when they hurt others (push them down)

people who are mean and nasty don't feel very good about themselves and that is the only way they can temporarily feel good about themselves and their lives...

Yes, they enjoy it, especially when they can hide behind their anonymous identities here on answers. It's best to totally ignore them.
