What do you do with an old taptop? How much can you get for it… or do you dispose it since its too old? Pentium I (100 MHz) type of processor. According to manual it is only upgradeable to 40Mb of memory. And you cannot upgrade the processor anymore. So upgrade options are limited.

Sell it on ebay. Someone is looking for that exact machine. For example, if it has a built-in 9-pin serial port then it is useful in the data acquisition line of work. VERY FEW new laptops have built-in 9-pin serial ports and some devices require direct serial communications, and NOT converted serial via a USB conversion cable. It will have a use for someone. I'd sell it on ebay,

Sell it as a perfect mobile Watchguard Firewall control center. Seriously.

you dont want to upgrade anything like that. waste of money and time and space. i havent even seen a penium 2 or 3 in like 4 years and you have a P1.. nice. u still have the manual? wow. 40 MB of memory.. i dont even think you can open Internet Explorer with that without it freezing. You'd have to go to a electronic recycling place. you can get a fine of $25,000 if you throw it in the trashcan since it has chemicals that cause birth defects and all that.

Sell it, make sure you delete all info on it. Some people take computer repair courses and need one to work on, or are looking for parts and can get it from your laptop
