And I don't mean 2500 year old year old mummies.

Nobody knows exactly who he is -- the man whose corpse stands among 20 other unidentified corpses soon to go on display in Seattle as part of a controversial exhibit of cadavers called "Bodies ... The Exhibition." What is known is that he was from China, and when he died his body went unclaimed -- unclaimed, that is, until the dissectors at a Chinese university took him into their care and the show's promoters took him on the road.

Meanwhile, members of human-rights watchdog groups and some members of Seattle's Chinese community have expressed concern that, not only do the bodies come from a country with a long history of human-rights abuses, but the people whose bodies were used did not give permission for their bodies to be put on display.

"I'm troubled by the fact the bodies are from China," said Ron Chew, executive director of the Wing Luke Asian Museum. "There are a lot of issues there."

"From a cultural perspective, especially since a number of the cadavers are from China, it feels like a gross violation," said Bettie Luke, who works with various Seattle Chinese American groups. "The willful use of putting a body on indefinite display like that condemns the soul to wander the netherworld with no chance to rest."

I've seen them. I didn't go and stand in front of each of the bodies and say, wow, look at this dude. I stood in front of each of the bodies and thought, gee I wonder what kind of life they had, and how did they live. What did they do in life? These bodies were people as far as I was concerned. Not some kind of freak show to entertain me.

Since going to see them, I learnt that they ARE returned to the earth after a certain amount of time. So yes, these bodies are alowed to RIP.

I paid to see this exhibit - it was the most facinating and educational thing I have experienced in a long time. It is not just bodies for the sake of bodies - it serves a purpose. I learned a great deal.

Yeah, right now that exhibit is here in Las Vegas at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. It think it cost about $30 a piece.
I will go see it as soon as I can find someone to go with me. My mom was the one who told me about it. Maybe I will take her for her Birthday.

I examine someplace that the fare would be equivalent to fifty 9 cents in right this moment's money. To play it risk-free, greater efficient have considered one of those dollar money on your mouth, which will conceal inflation.

I wouldn't pay to see one. I've been a ER nurse for 10 years, I've seen plenty of dead bodys.

No, but sometimes you can't avoid them. I think that only copies should be displayed and the bodies returned to their grave

I saw the coroner literally pry a pack of ciggy's out of my friends cold, dead hands.
After that, it would all just be anti-climatic.

No, I wouldn't pay to see dead bodies. I've been to enough wakes and funerals in my life.
