its not the modem that give the ip address, its your internet service provider. basically, in order for you to get online, there has to be an ip address provided. normally, ip address are dynamic which means everytime you connect to the internet, you are provided unique ip address from your ISP (dial up or dsl) but there are cases that you can buy your own ip address (which are typically expensive to the regular dynamic ip addresses). i hope these would make sense

Depends on which modem you're talking about, your phone modem in the computer or your broadband modem. If you're talking about your broadband modem, it's possible they assign static IPs but I doubt it. If they assign static IPs, then yes it MIGHT change.
But normally, I think it's pretty standard now that IPs are dynamic meaning they change occasionally. Your router will assign IPs to all computers in your network provided it is DHCP-enabled.

It depends on the kind of internet that you have !!! ......... but generally modem is not the one that gives you the IP address its the ISP (internet service provider).
every internet provider has its own ISP if your using a dial-up connection then everytime the ISP is gonna give you a new IP (IPs are quite similar because each country has its own range of IPs, the difference is in the last digits). However, if your getting high speed internet depending on your contract they may only give you one IP.
Your answer is no (85%) because IP doesnt have to do anything with your modem but like i said it depends !!!!
