I would open the blinds in the living room for any possible moonlight. I have a candle lighter so I would light the jar candles :) I would NOT run outside.

First Id grab my mp3 player and turn it on because it has a great backlight and use the light from that to find a flashlight. Id probably read for a little and then go to bed. It wouldnt be much fun though without light.

Luckily I'm using a laptop, so it wouldn't be completely dark because of the battery.
Then I'd have to gather up some things and get my dog and me outta here. It's supposed to get down to around 0 degrees tonight with a wind chill around -20. This place is total electric.

I'll crawl and sleep on the carpet. I won't be able to see my way to the bedroom and I hate stumbling over anything in the dark while I can't find first aid box anywhere near at the same time.

I live in a Hurricane Zone ... so it is a simple matter of powering up the Generator (and cranking up the Flashlights to find the generator to plug everything into) and getting comfortable once again.

It's one in the morning, so I'd just go to bed.
I live in dorms, so I would hear the commotion if something important was happening outside. A fire alarm would go off or something, and there's security at the gate to make sure people don't go crazy and try to break in.

I'd go to bed before midnight for the first time in about 2 years.

I'm always ready for a power outage... we live in a small town, fairly far from anything important.
I would probably go to bed, amidst Y!A withdrawl convulsions.

Sure, I'm prepared with candles and flash lights, and I would definitely try to find out what happened.

I'm prepared. I would probably call my best friend across town & ask if she was sans power. Then I would spend like the next 4 hours trying to calm my boys down because they would think it was "fun."
