I've had one wisdom tooth out, but only because it was decayed. It was the easiest extraction I've had, no problem. Only three ever emerged. When they were coming up they ached all the time for a few days on and off. When it ached I just took painkillers to get through it, until they settled down. I also had trouble with my jaw (mandible) joint dislocating. This would hurt on cold days when I tried to open my mouth. It was unrelated to my wisdom teeth. Some days would be worse than others. I have the ability to click the jaw joint in and out without pain. My dentist told me not to click it in and out. I found the problem stopped a while after I stopped clicking my jaw. When it locked, I found that warming the side of my face would help. I hope this makes sense to you. Best wishes.

A week ago today! Had all 4 cut out. Dentist told me a few years ago I'd need them out, but until they started bothering me that he would let them go. Well they started bothering me, BIG TIME. Hot/cold packs, tylenol, oragel..nothing made them feel better. Get them out. I was so scared and nervous, I've never been up under before, but it was all ok. I'm not going to lie, it is sore, but not really painful. I'd schedule an appointment to get it done, asap. You will feel SO much better. And you get pain pills!!!!!!!! If you use them wisely, you may have one left over for a rainy day.

i already have 3 but 1 of them's still coming out, and i'm having a jaw pain too. i just visited the dentist and he said it's just normal, the pain won't go away until the tooth has fully come out, or if the tooth stops coming out -- but will ache again if the tooth starts to come out again. it's been 2 years (i think) since i had this lower wisdom tooth coming out. the upper wisdom tooth grows fast unlike the lower tooth.
i'm having a hard time eating as well..
we'll just have to wait for them to fully come out...

Im sure they will have to come out eventually if they are causing a problem. It's usually a day operation (lasts a couple hours) with general anasthetic

yes, i have had two of mine out...
i had to do it w/o pain meds... and it really wasn't that bad... they did a local anesthesia... i felt okay the next day... but, i have a high pain tolerance...
i would suggest you get them taken out... go back to your dentist and see what he says... but, no sense in living in pain...

Yes I have.
You need them out..if they come in completely they will move your other teeth and cause even more damage. You need to be knocked out and have them cut out.
