I'd definitely take JaMarcus Russell or Calvin Johnson. I know Detroit is stacked with receivers, but if a talent like Calvin Johnson can be your's, you can't pass it up. Much like Reggie Bush last year. CJ is over 230, runs a sub 4.4, and has a vertical over 40. He put up big numbers with Reggie Ball at QB. He's going to be GREAT. If not Russell or Johnson, my third pick would definitely be Adrian Peterson. He's going to be a great one.

Everyone will be screaming for the Lions to grab a major offensive player in the first round. So far, the only offensive-sided first rounder to pan out has been Roy Williams (WR). The Lions do need help on the offense, but grabbing Quinn may not be the best idea, especially since he seems to have trouble with extremely physical defenses (think - CHICAGO's defense right now and MINNESOTA's up and coming D-unit). The Lions will stick with Kitna and see if McCown comes back and fights for the starting job.
The Lions should use their pick to bolster their pathetic defense. Why spend a pick on a RB (when Kevin Jones is coming back) or WR (Roy Williams, Mike Furrey) when the defense is screaming for attention? Jamaal Anderson (DE) or Alan Branch (DT) would make solid draft selections for Detriot in the upcoming year.
Detroit should go defense with the first round and look around the free agency market for O-linemen.

The Lions pick should come down to Brady Quinn, JaMarcus Russell, Joe Thomas, or Jamaal Anderson. In my opinion the Raiders are going to take Calvin Johnson #1 overall so all 4 guys should be available. They should take Jamaal Anderson here but Millen get pressured into taking a QB here. Which one should depend on how the combine goes.

Definitley not Calvin Johnson. They dont need anymore receivers. Either Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn. Personally I think they will take Brady Quinn, because I think that Joe Thomas is a great player, but no offensive lineman is good enough to take with the second pick of the draft.

I dont think they really have a choice but to draft Brady Quinn. They have all these first round draft pick wide recievers and no franchise QB to throw to them. Im not saying that Kitna is a bad QB by any means, but they need a franchise leader to take control of that team. I think that the Raiders are going to pick up Russell from LSU and so Quinn would probably be a good fit in with Detroit. Yes I think Peterson would also be a good fit there because they could use a good running game to match those recievers, but Kitna will not last forever there.

Well.....Kevin Jones isn't that bad of a RB...some I don't know...Injuries just happen...I'd keep him and hope for the best. Calvin Johnson might be the best talent in the draft...but the Lions have enough WRs...I'd like to see them take an Offensive or Defensive lineman first...Joe Thomas would be great...and Jamaal Anderson (as Yahoo's mock draft says they might take) would be good for the D-Line...either way ...the lines are Detoits biggest concerns I think.
