Why are you women sooooo VAIN?

What's wrong with wanting to look pretty and be attractive, or better yet, why can't a women be beautiful, why does she have to cover up everything just to make a man happy. I have nothing against following a religion, but c'mon, there are rules and then there are *** backwards rules that are stupid from the start. Women are meant to be attractive, intelligent, talented, etc., what right do men have in saying otherwise?

That would depend on how I answer; what does "Islam, there is nothing else." mean ??? God is ALL???

Women want to be desirable to their man; that should be a good thing even in Islam.

Women also in some countries are too lured by commercials into thinking natural beauty is not enough.

Men, esp. in the Middle East (and I say this from experience) can be HORRIFICALLY vain. Sorry. But, that is what I know.
And, in many animal kingdoms--no, I am NOT drawing a parallel--men ARE the peacocks. That is what Middle Eastern men remind me of.

The many reasons for covering a woman: some are good; but, very little. And, when a woman doesn't want to be covered, it doesn't mean she is vain.
It may just mean she is in the world and wants to be seen for WHO SHE IS. Esp. if she is an educator, or in business.
