According to me Patience is the first quality which every good teacher must possess and it should be there in abundance! Rest of the qualities too should be there in some quantity or the other. Qualities like intelligence, deligence, innovativeness, creativity, kindness, firmness, sensitivity, friendliness, and so on. All good qualities go into making a good teacher. Above all a good teacher should be a life long learner. If a teacher has many of these good qualities then he/she can be termed as a good teacher. A good teacher is not just one who satisfies the academic needs of his pupils but also one who helps his pupils to grow up into mentally, physically, healthy individuals.

I consider understanding the top one, and not just of the students, but of the subject the teacher is teaching. Teachers were all students and children themselves, so they shouldn't go all crazy if a student doesn't pay attention, doesn't know an answer to a question, or forgot to do a homework assignment. A good teacher would understand that these things happen because it happened to themselves. Also, you have to know your topic very well, and be interesting about it. If you know all that knowledge about your subject and no one's listening because it's boring, then what's the use of it?
Also a good teacher has to know how to teach. I know it sounds silly, but take my science teacher for example. She knows her topic, but she doesn't know how to teach it to her students. Me and my friends leave her class, not learning a single thing from her. She just writes some stuff on the board and tells us to copy it. Her idea of explaining it is reading what's on the board. Also when she gives us a project to do, she doesn't give us any guidelines or rubrics. We just don't know what to do in her class. So when you're teaching, make sure you discuss your focus, or topic, with the class. Give the students directions of what to do. Don't just tell them what you want with no guidance whatsoever.
Be nice, but strict as well, and also have lots of patience. Teenagers, like me, don't exactly like school. At least most don't. Basically, I go to school to talk and hang out with friends. So if a class is talking while a teacher is talking, the teacher has to wait a little while before the class stops talking before they actually start to listen to lesson. No one likes a mean teacher either, but you have to be strict, so the students don't go all crazy in the classroom. They'll know that you're serious about what you're doing and won't mess with you, but they'll know you're nice teacher, and not evil.

I believe a noble profession cant be noble unless done nobly. Therefore, it is important that to teach, it is important that the teacher himself be good. So
1)he must know what he is teaching. it is necessary that he first understands the subject. 2) Not what you say but how you say is important, therefore manner of delivery of thoughts is important 3) Patience 4) Impartiality 5) His own willingness to know and learn from his students..hence an open mind... Teaching cannot be a one way exercise. Both the teacher and the student must contribute 6) He must create a love for subject 7)Must be encouraging, not everyone is perfect

A good teacher should be motivated, dedicated, and educated. A good teacher will be creative, flexible, assertive, and a healthy combination of stern and compassionate. A good teacher should have sense of humor, and have the drive to get her work done. A love for children doesn't hurt either!

A good teacher is one who is first liked by her/his students. For this one must develop interpersonal skills and be committed to the profession. Adopt new teaching techniques and come out of the ole"Chalk and talk" method. Should strive to enable the students understand the concept by giving opportunities for hands on experience and shun rote memory learning.
should always remember that students learn better when they are allowed to experiment as per the chinese proverb
Tell me I forget
show me I understand
allow me to do I remember
