Europe's impression of the US has suffered over the years and conditions have improved there as well. Those factors working together have reduced immigration from Europe to an extent. But they are still coming. The best of the best still recognize the US to be indeed "the land of dreams".

Well, Europe has become much more stable and wealthy over the past few years.
If someone in Europe wants to start over, they can move into any country in the EU - whole other countries, without making any fanfare. So of course, migrating to a new - harder to get into - country, has lost it's glamour. Why move into the States, when you could move to the UK or France instead?
There's also the fairly negative image of America that is held in some places in the world, that does not help people want to live there. More crime, poorer education systems, lower wages, higher taxes, bad parents, less worldly, lack of culture, and you name it, people think America has it. An unpopular presidency and war definitely don't help.
I have dual citizenship, and I'd rather live in Europe than the States when it comes to the longterm.

Unfortunately the United States lets in very few Europeans. They only are letting in Asians. It has had a negative effect on the US for almost 20 years now.

You are so clearly uneducated on this issue. Europeans aren't "inhibited" from immigrating to the US. Tens of thousands do so every year! There is a matter of the changes in the European economies in the past ten years. Several countries that used to immigrate in large number have seen such growth in their own economies that fewer are interested in seeking career opportunities in the US.
I think it's interesting that you don't have a problem with immigration - just people of color who immigrate!

Yes it is...compared to a lot of other places in the world. If the people in Iraq, Iran and all those places that are still so behind the times, if they would build their own countries up instead of spending all their money on fighting/weapons/etc...then they'd have money to create a land of dreams for themselves instead of being so dang jealous of the USA. They're jealous, that's why they hate us. They need to get a "life" and stop trying to take other peoples' lives away from them. That's their problem. They don't have a "life" so they try to ruin us that do. And they're so crazy, they don't even realize it !!!

Our foreign policy and lack of ability to control much of anything. Anti-trust laws have been replaced by, "Sure, buy up all the companies you can and go global. Make stuff in the only major communist state that is a US enemy". We are trying to take over the world by spreading democracy in the wrong way. It looks bad, and is bad.

Crime problems and terrible schools are why Europeans and Japanese don't move here.
A high percentage of foreigners entering America carry a lot of disease. That bothers both Europeans and Japanese people.

There is really about as much opportunity in much of europe as there is in america and both have a problem with the influx of people from the third world looking for some opportunity in life.

I would be scared to go to the USA as there is more crime. They have alot of guns there. There are alot of better places to go to and live in the world. Also the health system in USA is terrible. Maybe it would be good for a holiday there but definately not to live!
