Well if y'all are best friends then doesn't that mean he already likes you? I mean he wouldn't hang out with someone he hates.
I think what your aiming for here, is how do you get him to go out with you...
Let him know how you feel. You never know if he feels the same way unless one of you speaks out right? Besides theres no shame in being lovers and friends. Best friends should understand each others feelings...he should understand. It shouldn't be no big worry dear. Good luck.

Why not just keep being the person that you are when you are with him...do not be pushy or act strange or try to monopolize him or get jealous of what he does or who likes...but, just be ever supportive,and always a friend no matter what....friends need each other for feed back, for acceptance, for caring...and sharing..etc...they also need honesty, truthfulness, not being over-bearing...as well as a great listener, as well as a good talker, also be to him, what you want from a close buddy...think about all of the things that you would like to have.. just in general...

You cannot make someone like you on the level you like them. Either it is there or it is not. You may think you are a match, but he hasn't caught a clue yet. Why not be honest? Tell him you have feelings for him and ask if he has interest in pursuing more. If you can't ask the question they you are probably not mature yet. Good luck.

Feelings are uncontrollable -- in your case, you can't
control how you feel, but also, you can't force someone
to like you.
From past experience -- Don't date your best friend.
Cause when and if things do go bad later on the road,
some people can't stand being around their "best friend"
anymore. It's a one way situation sometimes.

If he is your best friend, and he knows you well, he probably has noticed already that you have feelings for him. Just be upfront and tell him how you feel.
