At my work (a meal assembly store) we have the ceramic tiles...and the gray between has become black. We used Simple Green and one of those scruby brushes (with the long handle) and it worked to good! Just spray on the cracks and let it sit then scrub!

There's a lot on the market for tiles grout. I've gone the limit and used cleanser with a brush in a pinch but, it's a lot of work. Then seal the joints.

Jessies question sounds interesting. here I have been using liquid bleach and a toothbrush. With this option, you must be careful of whatever surrounds the tiles. Rugs do not like bleach.
jeans react poorly to bleach also.
There is a product called folex. it works just as well as bleach.
Remember, you want it clean. Bleach and Folex clean. Some products brighten but do not clean.

Home Depot carries a tile and grout cleaner. They have one hidden that strickly cleans grout. (It is strong smelling.)
Try the Mr. Clean Eraser. I have found that to work and product from the dollar stores called "THE WORKS" it is an acid based product, get the one for sinks it is not as strong but it too, works.
