It was the greatest finish to a game I've ever seen. I mean the gutsy call to run the statue of liberty for the 2 point conversion to win the game, was the best play I've ever seen. Greatest game I've ever seen though. Probably the 1999 Rams vs. Titans Super Bowl. I remember watching Kevin Dyson catch the ball and then see Mike Jones do "The Tackle" to stop him one yard short of the touchdown, to win the game for the Rams.

No the greatest game I can remember seeing are:
1. San Francisco versus Buffalo- I believe 1991 or 1992; this game featured over 500 yards of offense from both teams, no punts all game and was decided by a field goal 34-31, San Francisco
2. USC versus Notre Dame-2005; this was the game that when it was aired was billed as the game of the season, it had a rivalry, two historic teams, and was decided on the very last play. Sure USC went on to lose to Texas in national title game and Notre Dame still hasn't found that defense, but for this game both teams looked like world beaters
3. San Francisco versus New York Giants-1990; This was a Monday Night game where both defenses pulled out all the stops (and all the hard hits) for a final score of 7-3. Not a high scoring game, but each offense had the opportunity to score, but the defenses put on the best show I have ever seen
BTW, I am not a San Francisco fan, I just happened to grow up during the San Francisco era. I am sure that I have seen other very good games, but these stand out in my head the most when I hear someone say "great game."
I also did watch the 1986 and 1987 AFC Championship games, but I don't remember much about them. As for games with bigh comebacks in them, they don't impress me much because that means that both teams were playing bad at some point during the game. I prefer to see dominance for 60 minutes.

The Boise State Fiesta Bowl game will be one of the best college football games in bowl game history. However I think the Cal vs Stanford game on Nov. 20, 1982 is one of the best college games. The Play. The Play refers to a last-second kickoff return during a college football game between the University of California, Berkeley ("California" or "Cal") Golden Bears and the Stanford University Cardinal on November 20, 1982. Given the circumstances and rivalry, the wild game that preceded it, the bizarre and heavily disputed way in which the Play unfolded, and its lingering aftermath on players and fans, it is often recognized as the most memorable play in college football and among the most memorable in all of American sports.
After Stanford took a 20-19 lead on a field goal with four seconds left, the Golden Bears used five lateral passes on the ensuing kickoff return to score the winning touchdown and turn defeat into a 25-20 victory. Although members of the Stanford Band came onto the field midway through the play believing that the game was already over, the touchdown stood. However
I was lucky enough to be at that game. Also, any time you have a game between rivals you will get great games. Alabama vs Penn St. ( both were undefeated), USC vs Notre Dame, Georgia vs Florida, Ohio St. vs Michigan all were great games. It5s hard to single out 1 game in the history of NCAA football.

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! I tell you, I was in a Sportsbook here in Vegas and bet the first half under. One, because it was on TV, two because I wanted to see how good Boise "really" was, and three to hopefully win some cash (ended up losing in the last few seconds on a stupid TD). After osing the first half, I thought Oklahoma would dominate the second half and come back to win. But not being 100% I figured I would pass on betting it. Ended up betting and winning an NBA game instead. So I would glance at the game every once in awhile and saw what i thought at times a really weird game. It didn't seem like either team could "really" take control, but Oklahoma was creeping back in just like I thouight. Then when they took the lead I was a little pissed. Some real jerks in the casino were winning and I kind of wanted the underdog to win. AFTER THAT POINT, YES!!! That was one of the most EXCITING finishes to a game I EVER saw!!!! Boise State was the best coached team in the final minutes of a game I ever saw as well. Can you believe how the players and coaches executed like they had done it a trillion times. Guts and BRAINS!!! And the interview with the QB after the game was awesome as well. Truly a cinderella ending!!! I was smiling and shaking my head the rest of the night. I had an extra skip in my walk I was so excited with the finish. INSTANT CLASSIC!@!!!!!! ALL the Highlights on the link!! ENJOY them again!!

it was a good game but both teams in my eyes didnt deserve those bids. even though Boise St. went undefeated they didn't play anybody worth mentioning. (and dont bring up beating oregon st when the beavers beat USC) dont you think if a team from the SEC, Big 12 or 10 got that schedule they'll come out undefeated). and oklahoma went cause of Texas blowup at the end of the season.
newayz the Texas-USC game was better cause it lived up to the hype. #1 vs #2. the two best teams agruably of all time in college ball doing an old fashion shootout at the O.K Corral. best game i've ever seen in any sport that had as much hype as that game did.

No... I'd have to say 1991 Supper Bowl XXV New York Giants vs Buffalo Bills 20-19F, Scot Norwood (Bills Kicker)kicked the ball wide to end the game... That was the best game I've seen.
And I'm not a Giants nor a Bills fan...

This is definitely near the top of my list. My greatest game has to be Texas-USC with Vince Young compiling 400+ yards and completely owning the stellar USC defense.

College game would have to be 1984 BC vs. Miami when Doug Flutie threw a hail mary to win the game.

Definately! I always love watching the little guys being able to hang with the big name teams and the manner in which they won the game was second to none.
