Okay so the thing is she knows i like her but i dont know if she does too. How do you find out without being too obvious that you really wanna know? How can you do it jokingly?

If she makes eye contact with you, smiles at you and says hello, she definitely likes you. If you need to ask, you just have to get up the courage and be strait about it. Don't be afraid of rejection, if she tells you to get lost, well then you know where you stand. Good luck.

2) What is so bad about being direct, but polite and respectful at the same time ?

Heres what i did...
I had a friend, who asked another friend, to ask the girl i like if she liked "anyone", (and i didn't use my name.) Yes, it was very complicated. But sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe you should just strait out ask her, it might be awkward, but it will let your mind rest.

...just talk to her...like at lunch sit next to her & be like hey...whats up..blah blah blah...so do you like anybody...& if she says yeah...be like oh so you want to go out...& then be like im just playing...who do you like...& if she says you...then be like i wasnt really playing you know :D...haha theres a way ;)
