Because it fills a void in my sense of self. No, seriously, it does. For other people? Eh, it's just what they are 'supposed to do' and those 'supposed tos' are what most people live for ie. college education, a house, a spouse, a car, some kids, a mini-van and a sweet retirement fund.

Lots of parties, easy to score, you really learn how to drink, if you graduate - you get to make fun of people with crapy jobs and you make more money. Plus you kind of get an education and learn lots of things you wouldn't learn on your own. (But mostly it is about the parties)
