I would try a mascara that adds length. I have the opposite problem, I have really long lashes, and I tried one mascara that did make them look longer, but it made them almost look fake b/c of how long it made them. It is made by Prescriptives, and is called "Beyond Long". It's $20.00, and you can get it at any department store that sells Prescriptives makeup. Also, if you want your eyes to pop, try using a white shadow just around the edge of your top lid. A light dusty gold-speck has the same effect. Use the shadow almost like a liner. It's a good base color and will make your eyes look really big and wide. Hope this helps!

Mascara?
The best is Maybelline's Great Lash. This is the most trusted product used by everyday ladies as well as professional makeup artists.
Some mascaras are formulated especially to lengthen your lashes. My favorites are from Lancome, the new Telescopic, and Maybelline's Lash Discovery. The best lengthening ones have thinner brush to give your more control and so you can get in the little hairs.
Disregarding advertisements and computer animated lashes, mascaras with white primers do not work. Since it will blend with the black, your lashes can look gray. And who wants that?
Hope I helped. Good luck with your search.

Volume Shocking Mascara
By L'Oreal is the best!! It really works and is like 12 bucks. Target sells it.
A two-step mascara to volumize lashes. Step 1: Base coat defines and smoothes lashes for color. Step 2: Richly colored top coat coats lashes with volumizing mascara from root to tip. Ophthalmologist tested. Allergy tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Fragrance-free.
1. Apply Lash Defining Base Coat.
2. Apply Volume Constructing Top Coat.

You can use mascara, but I think your best bet are those little false eyelashes. They are small, and give you a few extra, longer lashes. You can buy them at your local drugstore or beauty supple store. They are called "Individual lashes" and sually use a different type of glue than the ones you are thinking of. You can read about them on the site below.

Here's the process I use!
1. apply vaseline
2. comb out chunks of vaseline
3. buy a product that has the primer + mascara (a lot of brands have them)
4. apply primer and then mascara
5. comb out chunks
If your eyelashes are short, curling them won't do anygood. If anything, they'll make them look shorter.
Also, you can try applying vaseline to your lashes every night. It may not give you length, but it will give you volume and that helps too!

Whatever mascara you are gonna use, MAKE SURE YOU USE A LITTLE BRUSH TO APPLY IT. This makes the lashes appear longer and more defined.
I don't know exactly what mascara to reccommend, but definetely don't simply chose the cheapest one on the isle. Look for one that specifically says how it lengthens lashes.
Good luck on your quest for long lashes!!

Hmmm, I have extremely short and stubborn eyelashes too, and I have to say I swear by my Shu Umera eyelash curler. They're more expensive than the average curler, but they work sososo good. I was skeptical at first but it really came through for me.
Also, if you're willing to spend extra on a good mascara, I would recommend Diorshow or Diorshow Ultra (I think that's what it's called). It made my pathetic eyelashes so long and volumous!

Liquid eyeliner will make your lashes look fuller. A good lengthening mascara will make your lashes longer. Look for a brand that also curls your lashes.

I dont have any fancy brands of mascare to tell you about, and since that seems to be covered pretty well already, i guess im good...My eyelashes are short also, so before i apply my mascare (and i just use a cheap brand...) i put on a bit of eyeliner, right where my eyelash line...it really helps make them stand out against your eye better, and it makes them much much fuller...i use black eyeliner btw, i dont know if any other color would help...
