Has anyone seen this movie yet? They are making so many movies about bible stories (like A Night with the King), is this movie about the bible story of Gideon and his army of 300 men, or is this a strictly mythological movie?

It's based on comic book writer/artist Frank Miller's graphic novel, 300, which was based off of the movie, 300 Spartans, which was based off of the historical battle of Thermopylae, where a Greek alliance outfought a significantly larger Persian army.

Actually, this movie is based on the Battle of Thermopylae, which was 300 spartan warriors against the army of the persian empire, which was a real battle.
It is also based on the graphic novel 300 by the same guy who wrote the graphic novel Sin City. His graphic novel is also a chronical of this battle.

The movie is about the battle of Thermopylae where King Leonidas of Sparta led 300 Spartans to fight against 1,000,000 Persians. And of course they don't have a chance in hell, so they all perished. That guy is either the bravest man in the world or totally out of his mind.
