Why are all of my shows red flagged on my tivo?

Starting wednesday of this week, all of my shows and movies recorded by my tivo have been red flagged, and cannot be transferred to another tivo in my network, nor can they be saved to my computer. What the freak is Tivo doing to us?

No, it has nothing to do with being deleted. I understand what the flag means, but when did everyone else start seeing them, and will all of my shows be locked on one tivo for the rest of its life?
