it has to protect the sperm that are inside from the acidity of the vagina

Think it though hon. Semen's job is to make baby's. If it was not sticky it would not stay were it was needed to get the job done. Guys with non sticky semen probably all died out with out reproducing.

There is a protein called semenogelin in semen that causes it to coagulate, giving it that sticky feel.

It is only STICKY as it dries.
