How many days before I stop getting the "PIN Tries Exceeded" error?

The block will not go away automatically. You have to call the bank remove it.

If this happens on some bank accounts, then a 'cashpoint' terminal inside a branch of that bank can give you the option of unblocking the card. Maybe this is the case for Santander. A quick phone call, or message through the internet banking system, should clarify what you need to do.

I agree with the others that the magic number is three times but DO NOT change your number to your birthdate or anyone else in your family! It'll be very easy for a thief to figure out! Try a famous person's birthday of someone you admire or something like that.

You get three times and then your out. Change your pin to the year of birth you are it makes things easier. Take care Heather

Usually three; after that, you are locked out and will have to call the bank's customer service department for the PIN to be reset.

should be 3 times in one session...then it will suck your card in if you get too many errors.
